Heartland Sniffer Hid on a portion of the disk that was unused.

A recent report by Shuman's StoreFront TalkBack blog explains how the sniffer that caused the largest credit card system breach in history stayed for so long undetected  

This is a must read for merchants and processors as this shows just how vulnerable we all are to having malware on our systems that go undetected.  Processors such as Heartland will surely now have the best system in place to detect this type of malware, but for the average merchant those same resources may not be available.
