New
Service Reduces Chargebacks/Fraud By 80%
DALLAS,
TEXAS - February 19, 2002 - VoiceStamps has
developed and tested a new service that has shown
to reduce instances of credit card chargebacks
and fraud by 80% or more. Not only does the
service reduce chargebacks, but it can process
credit card and ACH check transactions from any
touch-tone telephone. It makes a terrific order
verification/processing service for all types of
businesses, of any size, including the
flexibility that mobile merchants demand without
compromising security.
The
service incorporates the use of Interactive Voice
Response (IVR) terminals that collect a
"voice stamp" or voice authorization
and verification from the customer before the
merchant ships the order. The voice recorded
order verification is then automatically e-mailed
to the merchant for filing in the event the
customer tries to dispute the charge on their
account. In addition, the merchant can
retrieve verifications via touch-tone
telephone for 2 years to meet the
Telemarketing Sales Rule. The VoiceStamps system works
independently and can be used with all credit
card and check processing terminals, software,
and billing programs.
According
to Jeff Ross, National Sales Manager of
VoiceStamps, "In the past the merchants
always had to have a signature or they would lose
every chargeback dispute. Merchants can now use
voice recordings in lieu of written signatures.
No more playing phone tag, fax tag, and postal
mail games to confirm your sales orders. No more
wondering if you should turn your new customer on
or not." VoiceStamps
gives merchants the confidence they
need to activate new accounts instantly.
