PICO-PAY LAUNCHES TRIAL ADVERTISER-FUNDED MICROPAYMENT GATEWAY

Pico-Pay(tm), a next-generation advertiser-funded
micropayment gateway, is entering a free-trial period from the 1st of
April, 2002, for a period of 90 days. During this time, advertisers,
content publishers and casual web users, will be able to trial the
Pico-Pay technology to determine if it can help them improve their web
business and usage.
Pico-Pay(tm) is a web-hosted micropayment gateway that all website,
multimedia, music, video or even micro-applet publishers can use to
generate revenue for premium, pay–per-view content.
Pico-Pay(tm) uses simple technology to bring the well-understood paradigm
of free-to-air radio and television content, funded by advertising, to
the Internet. Advertisers are given a platform for targeting consumers
based on specified categories and interests, and are guaranteed 100%
click-through rates on all their advertising. Content publishers are
provided with a minimal-maintenance hosted gateway through which they
can co-ordinate the selling of specific items of premium content from
their sites, allowing them to bring in an order-of-magnitude more
revenue per-view than would otherwise be available to them.

Users of the service need only a web-browser to gain full access to all
the features; no additional software, smartcard, credit card or
ancillary technologies are downloaded, installed or required.
