Minor URL Mistake Can Cost You
By: Jim Conley II, MerchantSeek.com

Are you one of the many people who instead of typing out the
full URL of a website just type in: domainname.com? I quite
often find myself doing this and so do many other people.
Now let me ask you this, how often when you type in a URL
that way do you get sent to one of those lovely error pages
saying the web page doesn't exist? Occasionally? Quite a bit?
Believe it or not, in this age of super-fast, high technology
there are quite a few websites that can't be accessed without
typing in the www first. It's a minor mistake many people
forget to check and can cost you traffic. Take a moment and
type in your domain name without the www and see if your site
comes up, if not, it's time to contact your web host. This is
something I've had to do with MerchantSeek. It's a minor
change that your web host can do to your account and shouldn't
cost you a dime. Not only will this gain you some extra
visitors, but also if your printed stationery had just
"domainname.com" on it, you won't have to throw them away
and have new ones made.

If your hosting account needs to be updated let me know how
your experience was with your web host in getting the situation
squared away.
